Thank you to Marietta Manners for donating over $1,000 in proceeds from their Back-to-School Bash, to Milliken for school supply donations and to The United Way of Greenville County School Tools program!
Marietta Manners hosted a Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 6th at Jimi Turner Park in Marietta. This was a great community event with food, music, vendors, kids’ activities, and a softball game. Foothills Family Resources was able to use the money raised to purchase backpacks and school supplies to add to the Milliken donation for our annual Back-to-School event.

In addition to that, United Way of Greenville County donated 81 backpacks to us through their School Tools program.

Almost 200 backpacks with supplies were given out at our office on Monday, August 8th to students who attend Slater-Marietta Elementary, Heritage Elementary, Gateway Elementary, Northwest Middle School, and Travelers Rest High School.

Along with the school supplies, FFR gave out books, DVDs, toothbrushes and snacks.

The event would not have been a success without our volunteers…from those who helped pack the bookbags with supplies to those who were able to help distribute them the day of!

We are also grateful for Crystal Valley Day Spa for providing free haircuts…

…and SC Thrive for providing goodie bags and valuable information about their services.
